Summer Minions

Summer Minions New Tab Theme

The Summer Minions themes I made for Brand Thunder for Chrome is live now so you can check out the different designs. They are a lot of work but so much fun.

And now if you want to use the new tab page designs on Firefox, Brand Thunder is making that available, too.

Summer Minions New Tab for Firefox

I am really pleased that BT is making them for Firefox because they are kind of fun. When you open a new tab you will get a different scene.

If you are an Assassins Creed fan, they have my Assassins Creed Unity theme available for Firefox also.

Assassin's Creed Unity Tribute New Tab theme for Firefox

I think they will be adding more of my New Tab designs for Firefox on the Mozilla  Add-On site. I will  try to let you know when they are available.

I am beginning to wonder if perhaps Mozilla is going to do away with the Persona themes or not. Brand Thunder has a new add on called PersonasInteractive that lets you control your Persona themes. You can find their Add On at: http://brandthunder.com/personas/

Magical Summer Night

I will sign off for today. Getting tired since we went and cut a load of wood this morning. Still don't have as much energy since we had that horrible flu bug.

More later!

Hurray! I think we will live!

Blossoms of Spring

We are finally feeling better! This was a 2 week virus or something. I don't think it was the flu. I don't know if it is because we are "old" but this was one of the worse bugs we have had. We had it at the same time so not much got done. Neither one of us wanted to eat so there wasn't any cooking. And what we did eat, didn't have any taste. The worse part for me was trying to stay warm. I was freezing all the time. We thought we were well enough to go grocery shopping Saturday because we hadn't been anywhere for 2 weeks. But as soon as we got in the store, my husband was pushing the cart and I had a hold of it and I think the only reason we stayed upright was because the cart was holding us up. I was honestly afraid either one of us would just collapse. And then we both got up Sunday feeling worse so we shouldn't have gone in. But Monday we started to feel better and we notice each day is better.

The lilacs are all bloomed out and prettier than they have ever been, I think. The bushes are 50 years old and probably need to be pruned but they outdid themselves this year. I just wish they would last longer when you cut them to have in your house. But they smell so good.

Our oldest grandson called me the other night and asked if I would answer a bunch of questions for his school project. So I worked on that all day yesterday and had such a good time bringing back a lot of memories of my youth. One of the questions was what were my favorite TV programs when I was his age. Well, we didn't have TV and didn't even have electricity or running water when I was 11. I was very honored that he asked me to do this.

Mystery of Stonehenge

The Stonehenge theme I made several years ago and all of a sudden it got popular. There are over 15,000 users right now. Stonehenge and it's mystery always fascinated me.

Blue Butterfly in Grass

I am going to get back to work. I wonder if you noticed the new interface on the Mozilla site. I can't decide if I like it yet or not!

Have a great week

Bad week!

Lazy Sunday Morning

We aren't getting over the bad flu bug we got. Still coughing badly, no appetite, no energy for either one of us. Yesterday afternoon I took a nap in my chair and woke up cold. So I went to get up to turn the stove up and lost my balance. I twisted my ankle so hard it popped and hit the stone wall with my arm and it took all the skin off the underside of my forearm. I honestly thought I might have broken my ankle because it hurt so bad, but it is hardly bothering me today and I can walk fine. My old bones must be better than I thought, so I feel very fortunate for that. But it is going to be a long time before my arm looks all right and will definitely leave a scar. What a way to celebrate your 59th wedding anniversary!

So I am not getting much work done but I guess sleep heals so I should be healing up! Our oldest great grandson is up for spring break but we aren't going to be able to see him because I wouldn't want him to take this bug home with him.

The weather is supposed to really warm up and be 80 tomorrow. That is hard to believe but sure sounds good. We have been so cold with this flu. Just seems like we can't get warm and then, if you do, you have a bad coughing spell!

Well, I am running out of energy so gonna take a little nap.

I spoke too soon!

Forest Sunlight

Well I spoke to soon about getting through the winter without a cold or flu! We got through the winter but spring decided to get us!  So we are both hacking and aching. Plus having no energy. My hubby said at lunch he felt like he just needed to take a nap! As if he would ever nap in the daytime. I feel like that, too but will keep working.

I hope everyone had a nice Easter. It was good to be with family.

Our weather is fantastic this week. Sunny and warm. We have sat out on the deck the last three days for our "happy half hour" when we read the paper, have a few chips and a little wine before dinner. And I got to hang laundry out yesterday, too. First time this year.

Next week will be our 59th wedding anniversary! It sure doesn't seem like that long ago. We have been together for 60 years because we dated for a year before we got married. That sounds like such a long time, doesn't it?

Spring's Fluffy Kittens

Well, I am afraid I have run out of energy so gonna take a little rest.

Are You Ready for Easter?

Pretty Posies by MaDonna

Spring has sprung! It really doesn't feel like spring today but it has in the past few days. I am so ready for really warm weather.

This has been the very first winter that neither my husband nor I have had a cold. I don't remember a winter when we haven't had at least one cold. Whenever one of us would catch one, we would try very hard to keep the other one from catching it but that is impossible! So it was great to not get sick. We have noticed that since we have gotten older the colds bother us a lot more and we get sicker. So this was a pleasant winter. We only had a few cold nights, too. It was almost like fall all winter. But it was one of the wettest winter's on record so we got a lot of rain.

Are you ready for Easter? We are going to our daughter's home for a non traditional Easter. We used to always have a big ham dinner for Easter but they are so much work and you eat too much. So we have decided to go simple...no big meal...munchies instead. So we can munch all day! Our granddaughter is making her famous nachos for the main munch. Really looking forward to those. Plus just all getting together so am looking forward to it.

My thoughts go out to the people in Belgium and what they are going through. I don't see why we can't all get along. We should accept people for what and who they are and not try to change them or blow them up! That certainly doesn't make anyone like them any better.

I have been trying to cut back on working on designs but am having a real problem with that!

Clash Royale Tribute New Tab Theme

I noticed that the last New Tab theme I made for Brand Thunder is ready to download. I just read their blog and they have formed a partnership with Visicom Media, Inc. so I don't really know what that means for me making designs for them anymore. We shall see! I hope I can continue working with them because it takes me out of my comfort zone working on game designs.

Well, gonna have my afternoon coffee break.

I hope you all have a wonderful Easter and can be with family.

Felling Better Today!

At The Bird Feeder

Well, I should apologize for the "downer" post of last week but I am better today. Just once in awhile I get that way for some reason.

We lived through the horrible wind storms we had Thursday and Sunday. We woke up Thursday morning with a bunch of our big trees down with big root balls on them and parts of our fence down. We had up to 80 MPH winds. I slept through it cause I wear ear plugs! My husband said he was surprised to see our barn still standing. He was out looking at the damage and the wind was still blowing hard and the top of a big spruce tree fell right beside him. He said he heard a huge "whump" and turned around and there it was. He was just lucky because it would have done some major damage to him. Our daughter lives in town and there are huge trees in her neighbors yards and she worries every time the wind blows. She has had one neighbors trees on her roof once and her big deck once. This past storm brought trees down from another neighbor all over her back yard. Took her lilac trees and clothes line out. She was so proud of her lilac trees because she got the starts off our ours. But our youngest son went over yesterday and they got all the trees cut up and piled for us for our wood fires. The neighbor said he would take care of getting rid of the small limbs if she wanted the wood. So they got it all stacked to dry and will bring it out one of these days. The neighbor is supposed to replace her clothes line but we will see if he follows through. She got our family all together about 8 years ago and we had a big tree cutting party at her house. The guys worked and got all her big trees down so she didn't have to worry about them. My husband used to fall trees on week ends for my Dad when he was a logger so he knows how to get a tree down and fall it to where it is supposed to. But the wind came up hard again yesterday afternoon when she was here so she left right away to watch for damage.

I hope everyone got their clocks changed over the week end. I just hate it and thought perhaps we could get it changed so we could do away with Daylight Savings Time. BUT I read in the paper that oil companies love it because they sell so much more gas. People come home and it is still daylight so they get in their cars and drive, go out to eat (so restaurants love it) or shop (so retail likes it). Since money is involved it won't get changed. Learn to live with it, I guess.

Well, I will get back to work. Have a great Saint Patrick's Day!

Older and Downer!

Light in the Forest

Well, I don't usually write on my blog when I am "down". but I am going to.

Had my 77th birthday and it was a nice day and I guess you should celebrate that you are still alive! So that part I am but the aches and pains start to get to you after while. Neither my husband or I are sleeping very good so that doesn't help any. He never has that problem but I have. That is one of the worst parts of Fibromyalgia is not sleeping well, so I am used to it, but it is worse right now. He keeps on working every day, though. Seems like I am more tired in the morning than when I go to bed. I noticed this morning once I get on the exercise bike and get my blood moving I have more energy and feel better, BUT sometimes it is the last thing I want to do!

Our oldest great grandson had his first lacrosse game last Saturday. It was close to home so we got to see him play. He is a goalie and a very good one if I do say so myself. I had never watched a lacrosse game until last year and it is such a fun game to watch. I guess it makes it more fun when you are winning, though. Plus the rain held off and the sun was actually shining. He loves the game and may not play football next year. I love watching the football but worry about him playing. He has already had at least one concussion and that worries me.

Our daughter is finding out right this very minute if she will lose her job because of companies consolidation. This is the 2nd time she has gone through this in the past few years. It is going to be harder and harder for her to get a job because of her age.  And our oldest son is suffering with a pinched nerve in his neck and working through it. And our other son is working 7 10 hour days, too! Wouldn't it be nice to be rich and not have to worry about it? I have never wanted to be rich for me but would sure like to have a bunch of $$ sitting around to give our kids.

I love working on the wallpapers and themes, but I have so many made right now I don't need to make anymore. I probably won't live long enough to submit all the ones I have right now. BUT I will still work on them because I do love to.

Now this week end we have to turn our clocks ahead so we will lose an hour of sleep! Oh great, I didn't lose enough during the week!

Can you believe all the politics for all of you in the good old USA? I have to admit I am a bit of a political junkie and have gotten worse over the past years. The older you get the more important it seems to be. I don't want to let politics get into the blog stuff, though. I might lose a few of the few that read this!

Guess I am just having a bad day so I will shut up and do something else. Sorry about the complaining and I promise I will be better next time. Anyway I sure hope so.

More CP WP

I honestly don't know if anyone wants these cell phone wpapers or not, so I am thinking about quitting the blog. My interest has lessen...
